Payments

Each paid call costs the price in its 402 response, in USDC on Base, settled through the PayAI facilitator (https://facilitator.payai.network) to 0xc91cE6291eDC0713ec753BAFBA002506ffb2b95c. Payments are final.
A request with a payment header and invalid parameters is refused with 400 before the payment is verified or settled; so are weather points outside National Weather Service coverage and TLDs with no RDAP server. If an upstream is down before payment, the answer is 503 and nothing is settled.
If the upstream fails after settlement, the answer is 502 upstream_failed and the same payment header is honoured once more within 10 minutes (one free replay). A payment buys one successful call; a nonce cannot be reused.
A valid answer that contains no data (no address match, no active alerts, NXDOMAIN, an unregistered domain, a point outside the US for reverse geocoding) is a result and is charged.

RDAP: the IANA bootstrap (data.iana.org/rdap/dns.json) and the registry RDAP server it names; registration data as published by each registry. Requests are cached (record 1 hour, not-found 15 minutes) to respect registry rate limits. Registrant personal data is not returned.
DNS: Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 DNS over HTTPS (cloudflare-dns.com, JSON API), cached for the record TTL (30 to 300 s).
drand randomness beacon (League of Entropy), api.drand.sh: public beacon output. Values are derived as documented in each response so anyone can reproduce them.

Unpaid probes: 60 per minute per address (hashed, kept 60 s). Paid requests are not rate limited here; upstream limits still apply.
No cookies, no accounts. Query parameters (an address, coordinates, a domain) are sent to the named upstream and cached as described on the pricing page. Stored: payment nonces (1 day), replay records (10 minutes), per-route counters (40 days), one sample per route.
Answers are provided as-is from the upstream, normalized; no warranty of accuracy or fitness.
